Over the years, the Motor Club has evolved into a club for those who just can't get enough of Motorcycles. They meet every 5 weeks to discuss forthcoming events, any news and to have a good 'chin wag'.

The club is free to join and the meetings are currently held in the Oldham area.

Most of the club members take part in the 'British Police Motorcycle Trek Association' events which take place up and down the country.

These events are a navigation and clue solving competition where competitors use Ordnance Survey map grid references to locate a clue which then needs to be solved. Sort of like a giant treasure hunt.

The competitions take place over one day, usually a Saturday, but most members turn it into a weekend away due to travelling to and from the venue.

There are four of these events per year and participants can take part as a team or individually. There are points and prizes awarded at each event and at the end of the season, prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed teams and individuals based on your top 3 trek results.

You can take part in as many or as few of these events as you like, no pressure to do them all.

The Trek events give motorcyclist and their pillions the opportunity to ride with likeminded people, (usually serving or retired Police Officers and a select group of other people) on some great roads, seeing different parts of the country whilst having the challenges of navigation and clue solving, which serves to breaks up the ride. But you can always leave the navigation and clue solving to your team mates if you just want to experience the ride.

The Treks are not a race. You do not need to be a fantastic rider and you can ride at your own pace.

A motorcycle suitable for riding on motorways and comfortable to cover a little distance is required as the Treks are usually around 150 miles long and you need to get to and from the event.

The treks cost around £23 per rider to enter (about half of that for a pillion) and that fee includes a small snack and drink for the ride and lunch.
