Every year there is a PSUK National Badminton Championships which is hosted by different police forces. There are a number of categories in the championship:

 - Ladies Singles

 - Mens Doubles

 - Ladies Doubles

 - Mixed Doubles

 - Veteran Level Doubles and Mixed Doubles (age 35 and over for females and age 40 and over for males)

 - Super Veterans Level Doubles and Mixed Doubles (age 40 and over for females and age 45 and over for males)

 - Masters Level Doubles and Mixed Doubles (age 45 and over for females and age 50 and over for males)

If a partner cannot be found from Greater Manchester Police a competitor can play with any other player within the North West Police (GMP, Lancashire, Isle of Man, Merseyside, Cheshire).

A Regional Qualifier is held every January/ February and the top two players from each discipline then go on to play at Nationals.

Competitors from the championships are also considered to represent 'Police Sport UK' in the Europeans Police Championships held every 2 years.

Over the last couple of years, GMP have had competitors qualify for the nationals, representing Police Sport UK in the European Championships

We are looking to get a social night sorted for the group as well so that people can get together for a few games. At the moment we are looking at having one every couple of months
