PSUK Tennis National Championships 2010.
The above Championships were held by Lincolnshire Police at the Boston Tennis Club in Lincolnshire over 19th to 21st September 2010.

GMP was represented by 9 Officers and had a broad level of success across the board.
PC's Paul Bentley and Martin Bromley ( Both K div- Bolton ) won their 7th National title together winning the over 40's Mens Doubles. They beat a strong pair from Hertfordshire in the final 6-3 6-1.
Martin then went on to partner Gill Mellor ( CTU ) and lost narrowly in the final on a 3rd set tie-break to a pair from the Met.
Gill also lost in the final of the over 35's Ladies Doubles partnering Emily Warner ( retired Officer ) also to a 3rd set tie-break.
Good performances from all the other GMP officers included a semi-final in the over 35's ladies doubles from Alison Flatley and Debbie Purtill ( both K div-Bolton).
All in all a very good all round showing from GMP. The host Force provided excellent facilities at the tennis centre and also provided 2 days of excellent weather!
Qualifiers from next years Regional event will qualify to play at the Nationals held by the Met in September 2011. This is the 50th anniversary of Police Sport Tennis section and as such is being held at a very special venue:- The Bank of England Sports club at Roehampton. Keen tennis players will know that this is a grass court venue were the Qualifiers for Wimbledon are held every year. The attachment shows Paul and Martin receiving the National Title from Simon Cole- Chief Constable of Leicestershire and Chairman of PSUK Tennis section.
